IVORY COAST: Religions, The Basis Of Peace

“Solidarity, fraternity and dialogue among all religions must be the very basis of social peace,” said Christian and Muslim religious leaders gathered in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, for the international symposium on the theme “The Eternal Message of Religions.”

The initiative was held in Abidjan bringing together hundreds of Christian and Muslim participants. One of the objectives of the international symposium was to guarantee “the duration of the eternal message of peace to Ivorian and African society and humanity.”

In their final declaration, the religious leaders “invite all the living forces of African countries to remain united and to support one another in the face of all risks of division.”
