PHILIPPINES: Bishops Consecrate Nation To St. Joseph

The Bishops of the Philippines are going to consecrate the country to the protection of Saint Joseph as part of a solemn celebration to be held on May 1, the day in memory of Saint Joseph.

The consecration of the nation to St. Joseph is one of the initiatives launched on the occasion of the Year of St. Joseph that Pope Francis proclaimed for the Universal Church from 8 December 2020 to 8 December 2021 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the declaration of Saint Joseph as Patron of the Universal Church by Pope Pius IX.
