The Vatican’s Synod Office published the Instrumentum Laboris or “working document” for the forthcoming Synod of Synodality in October which will focus on “the identity of the synodal People of God in mission.”
In the past, missionaries were sent from various European countries to the continent of Africa to proclaim and spread the Gospel. Yet, the “roles have shifted, or at least have begun to,” according to Archbishop John Wilson of Southwark in the UK.
