The prophet Elijah was called to serve God. With great faithfulness and unwavering trust, he listened in silence to the Lord’s voice and proclaimed His Word. Elijah’s vocation and mission challenge us to reflect on our vocation, inviting us to live it without reserve.
The prophet Micah could well be one of the prophets of our time, denouncing corruption, injustice and formalism in living the faith. He invites us to defend life and be a voice for so many brothers and sisters who have no voice.

Despite his family’s financial constraints, the young Victor worked through college, gaining valuable work experience and joining the seminary. His calling as a missionary took him to Guatemala. Now in the Philippines, he reflects with gratitude on 15 years of missionary and priestly life.
Having been influenced by missionaries at his local parish, Edgardo decided at 17 to become a missionary. His encounters with the Aetas further deepened his desire for the mission. Now back in South Africa, Father Edgardo is happy to have reunited with people he knew before.
