The path of vocation is a path of liberation and discernment of one’s own personal freedom.
Vocation has two-fold fundamental dimensions: on one hand, every vocation implies a personal conversion; on the other hand, a vocation is always linked to a mission (a vocation is never selfish, rather, it is always an act of love).
Vocational accompaniment, which is done without fear through dialogue and prayer, seeks to meet with what the person is and what he/she longs to be. Here, the will of God and the human will coincide.
Discerning a vocation, which is the fullness of life, is an educational process that does not include delays. It is always a struggle; it requires love and a willingness to walk.
Demands are always present on the vocational journey, from the first questioning through the process of discernment and to living a more fulfilling life.
Vocation is a gift that is discerned and realized little by little, relying on someone’s help in the journey of self-discovery, in the options, and in the commitment to love and be a generator of life in favor of humanity.
Vocation opens doors to becoming a fully realized person. It is also a meeting point between God and humanity.
Vocation is a blessing from God and this is seen when we change the way we look at ourselves and reality.
The vocation, a project of happiness that comes from God and is offered to us, whenever it is discerned, bears fruit and leads to the common good of humanity and nature.
In the context of the pandemic, there can be reasons for giving up the path of vocational discernment. However, today we are also challenged to make decisions, setting foot on the path with perseverance, humility and responsibility.
